How to upload and share files anonymously with AnonDrop

Sometimes you just need to send a file to someone without creating an account, verifying an email, or setting up a shared folder. AnonDrop is built for exactly that kind of task.

This guide walks through the full process, from uploading a file to sharing the download link. It takes about a minute, and there is nothing to sign up for.

Step 1: Go to AnonDrop

Open anondrop.in in your browser. You will see the upload area right away. There is no login page, no sign-up form, and no account setup.

Step 2: Select your file

Click the upload area or drag your file into it. You can upload any file type, as long as the size stays within the 2GB limit. That covers most documents, images, videos, archives, and project files.

Step 3: Wait for the upload to finish

The upload progress is shown on screen. How long it takes depends on your file size and internet speed. Smaller files finish in seconds. Larger files can take a few minutes.

Step 4: Copy the download link

Once the upload completes, AnonDrop generates a private download link. Copy that link and save it somewhere safe. This is the only way to access the file, so do not lose it before sharing.

Step 5: Share the link

Send the download link to the person who needs the file. You can share it through any channel you trust, like a chat app, messaging platform, or direct message. Avoid posting it publicly unless you are comfortable with anyone downloading it.

What happens after 7 days

AnonDrop automatically deletes the file after 7 days. The download link will stop working once the file is removed. You do not need to delete it manually.

If you or the recipient need longer access, make sure to download a copy before the 7-day window ends.

Tips for a smooth experience

Keep a personal backup of any file you upload. Let the recipient know the link has a time limit so they do not miss it. Share links only with people who should have access to the file.

If you need to share something sensitive, consider the channel you use to send the link. A private message is better than a group chat or public post.

Who this works for

Freelancers sending deliverables. Students submitting group project files. Friends sharing photos or videos. Developers passing logs or test files. Anyone who wants to share files online without dealing with account sign-ups.

AnonDrop keeps the process short and private. Upload your file, get a private download link, and share files without login. That is the whole workflow.
